Elijah Yeoman

YB 031

Unfortunately there are very few Yeoman images of industrial subjects, the photographer apparently preferring the romantic pastoral perspective much loved by the Victorians. Nevertheless such images as there are not only retain the compositional integrity of the rural landscapes, but also offer us a valuable glimpse into an industrial past which is now gone.
