'The Black Prince' (VP 063)

A rare contemporary photograph of "The Black Prince", a small cyclecar made in Barnard Castle for a short period in the early 1920s. The car was notable for having both chassis and body made of wood, and was manufactured in low numbers. Only two examples are known to survive, one of which is in The Bowes Museum. This example may have been photographed locally, but both photographer and location are unknown.
