Motor Racing, 1914 (SP 001)

This is a superbly evocative image from Turf Cigarette cards' Motor Racing series, and shows Captain Hornsted achieving a new endurance record by achieving an average speed of 124 miles per hour at the Brooklands circuit in 1914. Although reproduced from a cigarette card, the quality of this image is excellent, with rich block colour and good detail, and it reproduces superbly at full size, when it looks very dramatic. A unique present for vintage car or motor racing enthusiasts!
